Is social media a fad? Or is it the biggest shift since the Industrial Revolution? Welcome to the World of Socialnomics.

Expand My HORIZONz

Next Lomo for TeyTey...

This thing is pretty epic and I'm in awe at almost every photo I see taken. A must have for my collection. I look forward to using it at music events and traveling mostly.

It uses standard 35mm film, yields a super wide 58mm picture, a full view of 120 degrees, with a “barrel effect” that only a swing lens can provide. The Horizon Kompakt and Perfekt are both the only Russian panoramic cameras produced today, and the only truly affordable panoramic cameras.

Check some wicked shots some other lomographers have taken:

ChromeeeeOOOO

My boys are back!! They've been somewhat MIA for a while, apparently recording a new album, and this is the first single one to appear. Can't wait to hear the rest! Definitely a little darker, but luckily they haven't lost their sound. Check out Night by Night by Chromeo:

Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Baby Groovee

Marc Jacobs makes me very Happy. In a very unaffordable, materialistic and sometimes selfish kind of way. That's just why I had to have this sexy bag. My last MBMJ handbag (not including my clutch) was purchased in early '06, so I almost felt I was deserving of this one. It's soft Italian Leather, gold hardware and classic style convinced me this one would live long and prosperous just like its sister I carried everyday (until now). Check it out:

History of Lomography

I found this awesome video on Vimeo that a student made, animating the history of one of my favorites brands/cameras. Such great illustration, motion design and music mixing! I think it makes for a fun introduction to the brand.

Check out Lomography.com to see photos, browse & shop cameras, the cult community and more.

YTL Residence, Kuala Lumpur

Check out this magnificent and somewhat unreal home built for a power family in Kuala Lumpur. Commissioned by the YTL Design Group and designed by Paris-based agency Jouin Manku, this home was started in 2003 and took almost 5 years to complete in 2008.

At 3,000 square-meters, it was designed to accommodate both private and public functions. It has nine bedrooms, two family rooms, a family kitchen and a private dining area, a family library, a game room, a study, a public reception area, a formal dining room, a ballroom, chapel, 21 bathrooms, a swimming pool, two guest suites plus indoor private and guest parking.

My favorite part of the design is it’s almost space-like feel. It’s elegant, modern and industrial, yet super natural and one with the surrounding lushness of the city it’s in.

My New Lomo..

The Diana Mini!

I just got it so I dont have any photos to share, but I have been carrying it around with me everywhere and snapping away constantly. As advertised, it's tiny. It resembles what you would think is literally a toy, even a co-worker joked "What are you gonna shoot me in the face with water, this is a joke right?!" I love it!

I loved the idea of a camera performing multiple tasks. The Diana Mini shoots half-frame shots at 24x17 for an amazing 72 shots per roll and/or normal 24x24 shots at 36 shots per roll. Being able to go back and forth is key.

This will be the only analog camera accompanying me in Seattle this weekend so look at for pics coming soon. Woop!
