YES YES, you made me very happy!

Fouth of July

The Fourth

Such a blast! It was a warm, beautiful day in LA, especially here at the beach, so we took advantage by having some of our best friends over for some grillin' and chillin'. When we were full and drunk we hiked the Ballona Creek bike path towards the Marina for the firework show. We didn't get all the way down, as expected, so we stopped between the 90 fwy ramp and Lincoln to watch and also do our own fireworks and sparklers. I brought my LX3 and Lomo Ringflash to capture the action. Here are some pics of the us... Lomo daytime pics to come.

Trouble & Bass

The kids at T&B made their way to LA to give us a great show at The Echo, backed by the A/V Scion team. The place was packed to the rim with eager hipsters getting their rave on. Sound was heavy, brought to us by the Funktion One guys. Catch this video I got of Drop the Lime singing over Robin S's "Show Me Love", then kids going bonkers to a tune AC Slater throws down. Love the part at 2:05 where Drop the Lime flips off the camera of the girls on stage. ROWDY!!

Also a few shots taken with the awesome LX3.

Lumix LX3

I found a new digital camera I wouldn't mind investing a little molah into. It's called the Lumix LX3 and it's made by Panasonic. I've never used this brand before, but I hear it's pretty good. This camera is super tricked out. It shoots 10 megapixel shots and has a 24mm ultra-wide-angle lens (at multiple aspect ratios). It also offers a film mode (to emulate the look of shooting with film) as well as a multiple exposure setting (like Lomo). .. so ill!
My boss got one and shot a pic of us in a meeting at work (really close up) and the second I saw how amazing the wide-angle comes out I was sold. I immediately started to look online for prices and purchase, when I realized it's on back order at all the quality online photography stores, as well as Samys. Boo! As long as its in-stock, shipped and in MY hands by Coachella (April 17th) I'll be a happy nerdy raver.

Here's what it looks like. Small, simple & clean. And will fit in my pocket!
